Well it’s unfortunate that South Korea seems to be taking its northern neighbor’s tactics as far as diplomacy on this issue. You’d think democracy in the south would have meant something. I don’t accuse the Koreans of being generally hypocritical or evil. However, when they consistently refuse to have international courts or arbitrators in when international conflicts take place, it seems they fear their claims won’t hold water. Every conflict has to be solved in strictly bilateral talks behind closed doors, with every possibility of blackmail and brinkmanship. They only appear immature for it.

So, I’m glad to this blog introdused Koreans outrage to US.Because Koreans terget is not only Jpan but also US. Maybe The Sters and Stripes is secondary often defaned National Flag in Soeth Korea.(Of cause most defaind flag are Japanese)

Hi Takamiya. Dont worry about your english – you have put in a good effort and I understand what you wrote. Anti Japanism and Anti Americanism is quite strong in South Korea. I think the important thing is to let the people of the world know what the Koreans are doing. Everyone can see that they are being unreasonable.

Koharuさん、ご訪問ありがとうございます。私は思いますけど、日本政府ははっきり「もう謝罪や賠償なんかせんぞ」と宣言しない限りは韓国人は日本に対してぶつぶつクレームするでしょう。関連のある別な問題ですが、日本はアジアの発展途上諸国に政府開発援助してもその国々の人々その事について全く無知です。やっている事を謙遜なしで知らせるべきだと思いますね。

Maybe South Korea’s Anti Japanism and Anti Americamism’s reason are Korean race fundamentalism. That is to say they love only Korea, and other country is only target of disdain and hate.

Here’s a good question, “Why do the Japanese hate Koreans?”. Korea is a rising nation. It is economically superior to many east and southeast asian countries, and what makes it’s people even more impressive is that they were able to go from a third world nation to an economic power house in less than 40 years. Countries like Japan feel threatened. Korean companys are becoming increasingly popular. This is the only reason the Japanese have to hate the Korean people. Now why do the Korean people hate Japan? It might have to do with the fact that four generations of Koreans were slaves to the Japanese. My grandfather could vouch for that if he didn’t kill himself to be with his wife after she was raped and killed by an imperial Japanese soldier. In one of your later articles, there was a Korean man calling his mother a liar about what she said about being a slave, having to work in a factory and what not, and the fact that you would completely agree with the son, is completely beyond me. It doesn’t matter what the Japanese papers say. If a rapist told you he did not rape a specific woman, would you walk up to her and call her a liar? It doesn’t matter that your not Japanese nor Korean. What matters is the fact that you support Japanese hatred and try so hard to make us Koreans look like idiots. Is Korea a rising nation?—-supposing it is true, Japan welcomes it..Most of Japanese hope Korea will not go down economically so that japan will not have to help when they are at crisis. Interesting how you speak against Korea’s hatred towards Japan with such a condescending and arrogant tone. You hate Korea because they hate. How hypocritical. It’s understandable that Japan would not teach their children about the horrible things their ancestors did to the Koreans. It’s true that many citizens of the ROK may harbor bitterness and hatred towards the Japanese. But they have good reason. In any case, the Japanese never defend themselves directly when accused of their crimes; they try their best to point out Korea’s flaws. Childish.

What is “Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea”?
We have agreed to make up. If they were not satisfied they shouldn`t have agreed. I can understand their feelings in some sence but at least they should try to cope them.
I would also want to point out, while the talks were held, our citizens were taken hostages by the S.Korean government who declared Syngman Rhee line onesidedly. I don`t think it fair, but as we agreed with the treety, we are not complaining about that.
I think that is a meaning of agreeing to a treaty.

I think this is a website that critisizes Korea and its actions, but I just skimmed over the web page so I’m not sure.

But anyways, I wish both Korea and Japan would stop bashing each other. Because I’m pretty aware of the Japanese war crimes that occurred in World War II, I’m familiar with the reasons why Korea dislikes Japan. I’m not denying their war crime accusations toward Japan, yet I’m sure Korea, including other Asian countries, did something similar, something as horrendous as what Japan did during World War II. But at the same time, to stop all this hate that ruins Asian economics and politics, not only Japan, but other Asian countries, have to accept their wrongdoing like Germany did.

Also, I think its wrong to judge other Koreans or Japanese by their histories. I mean, history is just history, right? No matter how frightening one country did to another country, it’s a part of the past; people should move on, accept the past, and live with it (but not forget it). For example, just because several, maybe a lot, of Koreans dislike the Japanese for the past, there are Koreans who do not dislike the Japanese. I dislike the history of Japan, but I do not dislike the Japanese people. And I’m Korean. I’m not going to go and bash the Japanese just because of what they did. And I really, truly hope the same thing for the Japanese – that I am correct in assuming that most of the Japanese don’t “give a damn,” as with, like most of the Koreans, will not “give a damn.”

I highly doubt that people will read this, because this is a response to an outdated post, but if you do, I hope you understand. Sorry this response is so long.
