Police Hardly Bat an Eye When 9-year-old Girl Attacked

March 31st, 2008 Gerry-Bevers

THIS VIDEO shows a man in his 40s or 50s attack a 9-year-old Korean girl in an apartment elevator.

The man follows the little girl into the elevator, grabs her, and tries to drag her out. When the little girls resists, the asshole starts kicking and punching her. He then takes the elevator up to the third floor and tries to drag her out of the elevator by her hair. The little girl is stronger than the asshole realizes and he falls down in the process, but still manages to drag her out.

The stinking asshole gets her out of the elevation, but the little girl’s screams get the attention of a first-floor, female resident who starts coming up the stairs to the third floor, where the little girl is. The stinking, child-molesting asshole apparently hears the woman coming, calmly gets back on the elevator, goes back down to the first floor, and makes his escape.

Within ten minutes, the parents of the little girl call the police, who send out some lazy-ass, piece-of-shit cop to investigate. The lazy-ass, piece-of-shit cop takes the testimony of the parents and the neighbor, watches the CCTV video, and then goes back and reports “the next day” that it was ”just a simple assault case” committed by a drunken men. Then the investigation stops.

However, the parents of the little girl and the neighbors get the video, make leaflets, and start looking for the lousy, stinking, child-molesting asshole on their own. The video gets on the Internet, Korean netizens get mad, and then three days after the little girl was attacked, Ilsan police come back to the apartment, get the video, and finally start looking for the guy.

After hearing about how the lazy-ass cops at the Ilsan Police Department handled the case, President Lee gets pissed, visits the police station, and gives the lazy-ass cops a piece of his mind. If it had been me, I would have put on the heaviest boot I could find, gone down to the police station, found the lazy-ass cop who decided the incident was not worth investigating, and kicked the asshole a new one. Then I would have had his lazy ass fired.

Nevertheless, I applaud President Lee for going to the Ilsan Police station in person to let the lazy assholes there know how lazy and incompetent they are.

I hope they find that stinking, child-molesting asshole and beat him to within an inch of his life, wait for him to recover, and start beating him again. Assholes like that need to be either put to death or put away for the rest of their lives. Those kinds of people are incorrigibly evil.

I am so pissed.

Here is what the Korea Times said about the incident:

Police Under Fire in Kidnap Attempt Case”

UPDATE 1

Police have arrested a 41-year-old man named Lee for the assault on the 9-year-old girl. He was arrested in a bath house in the Gangnam district of Seoul.

The asshole told police that he had been drinking and that the little girl gave him a look that he did not like, so he followed her and hit her. He said, “I’m not a bad man, but I attacked and hit her because I was angry.”

According to police, the asshole is a habitual rapist who had been sentenced to ten years in prison, but got out two years ago.

“Not a bad man”? BULLSHIT!

Also, a chief detective Bak and six other police officers associated with the mishandling of the investigation into the assault on the little girl have been relieved of duty. GOOD!

Thank you, President Lee.

UPDATE 2

The asshole has admitted to police that he had planned to sexually molest the little girl. Also, according to investigators, the asshole had previously received a 10-year prison sentence for a series of rapes involving minors. He got out of prison two years ago.

I wonder how much time he actually served and what he has been doing for the two years since getting out?

UPDATE 3

Not having been raped is ‘Every cloud has a silver lining.’
But she was reported to not have run outside and play.
    Her PTSD is the problem.

“…President Lee Myung-bak said Monday that the public is incensed over the police’s lukewarm attitude.

“As seen on the CCTV recording, it was really brutal. The state’s utmost duty is to protect people’s lives, but the police still show such an attitude at this time when many cruel cases remain unsolved and people feel pity for them. The police need to change,” Lee said….”

The only positive aspect of this appaling crime is that the police are now being held accountable, and it shows that CCTV (or any modern technology) assists investigations.

Pity the police here in Japan cannot be “attacked” by the press and public for their incompetence with impunity. The CCTV also demonstrates why the police here in Japan do not want interogations taped!!!

Not only 2MB but Seo Nam-pyo is demonstrating that some Korean authorities are becoming more honest.

Now if only the subway authorities could crack down on people trying to board subway carriages before everybody is off the train.

KAIST makes slacker students pay fees.

I think it’s awesome that the President himself went to visit the police station. Can you imagine that? This isn’t like some higher-up coming to reprimand them out of duty; this is the president of the country showing up at your office to make your day really, really bad. The police deserved it, though.

Ah, good to see the news about the president and the guy getting caught. I heard about the story a few days ago but assumed that he still wouldn’t get caught since the police often don’t do much until there’s a dead body involved (as the saying goes).

    There is good news..
    .

Death penalty planned for South Korean child sex offenders

    .
I hope this passes. I think killing them right away would help. As it is, coreans rape children freely, and just pay money to the parents if they get caught.

Coreans rape “freely” and then “pay” the parents?
    -
If it’s free why do they pay?
    -
    Pretty funny.

Steve, your selective reading is what is funny. The full quote was:

As it is, coreans rape children freely, and just pay money to the parents if they get caught.

    .
“If they get caught” is the key phrase.
    .
By the way, this type of crime is never funny.

The court said, Korea should °painfully confess our own brutality, hidden under the illusion of an economically powerful and civilized country.”

That’s from the Daejeon High Court, which late last month sentenced a 47-year-old Korean man, identified only as Jang, to 12 years in prison for beating his 19-year-old Vietnamese bride to death last year.

Sometimes the criminal justice system in the ROK works.
