The pheasant massacre. Just make sure you are not eating when you view this.
I’ve been briefly skimming over the deluge of videos and as one could only expect, the vast majority of English responses condemns the act. One could only hope, for the sake of the pro-Korean argument, for an official statement from Korea similarly condemning the demonstration practices.
The Koreans will just defend the pheasant massacre the same way they defend eating dogs. They will say “It’s just a part of Korean culture and in any case this is between Japan and Korea so foreigners should just STFU etc.” Putting aside the brutality of the pheasant massacre, would any rational person eat raw bird meat in a country that has recently had outbreaks of bird flu? I nominate the guy that looks like Kim Jong Il at 1:44 for a Darwin Award. LOL.
As my Chinese colleague described it.
“Koreans have an irrepressible desire to behave like peasants.”
He then said the fun was intended.
Is this really any surprise for those with familiar with Koreans and how they voice their opinions in public? In this modern day and age, where else in the world can you find people who, in protesting, would:
- Chop off their fingers
- Eat flags
- Hurl feces at a supermarket
- Stab themselves in the stomach
- Stage mock beheadings
or even
- Rip apart a LIVE 2 month-old piglet

These and more are just some of what Koreans do when they protest. It really gives one an inkling of what their culture and mentality is, considering that we’re already in the 21st Century. And especially for those who know little or nothing about Korean culture, these kinds of behavior is sure to leave quite an impression on them. Good job, Koreans! You must be so damn proud of the image you project of yourselves to the world outside your borders. As always, fighting!
Barbaric. Truely a barbaric culture.
Watching Koreans reminds alot of watching “The Three Stooges” on TV..except that in the case of the Koreans, they aren’t acting. The stuff they say is real.
On the racism, bigotry, and barbarism scale:
Average Korean on the street >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> German Neo Nazi, Uyoku Nationalist, Ku Klux Klan member combined.
I think most people would laugh at this, or say “Oh, that’s horrible” and then continue talking about Paris Hilton’s latest fashions like nothing happened.
