I don’t think all the Muslims are fundamentalists and violent, but yeah, I also hope some will hear her message.

Not just hear, but listen to her. I hope this brave lady won’t be harmed by angry Muslims. Israel’s hands aren’t clean, though.

    Gerry,
I have a primitive question though it is merely a little related to the topic.
5 to 6 million Jews were said to have been killed during WW2.
WW2 lasted about 4 years so it means almost 1.5 million a year, around 120,000 a month, 4,000 a day.
Then, how did Nazi dispose 4,000 bodies every day?

This woman is not alone in her opinions, and she has some good points, but I doubt her patronizing tone will go over well in the Arab-Muslim world. If the same stuff was coming out of the mouth of a Muslim it may have a chance of swaying others.

Here’s an interesting article about the people behind the translation.

Good nose newshound. Very interesting article. It is always interesting to look at who is translating, isn’t it? Especially with things coming out of the Middle East. It is interesting that most of the Bush administrations top advisors on all things Middle-Eastern are outdated academics who can not speak or write the languages of the countries they are so called “experts” on. Yet somehow, in N.American media they remain the dominant voice, and it is the knowledge that they have structured themselves that often remains the standard from which all else is judged. And of course with all the Korean and Japanese articles on this website, I am always wondering what the intentions of the writer really was. Gotta keep learning I suppose!

Ken asked, “Then, how did Nazi dispose of 4,000 bodies every day?

They used mass graves and crematories. The Jews were slaughtered like cattle, and almost 35 million cattle were slaughtered in the United States in 2003, so I do not know why you think it would be so hard to dispose of 4,000 bodies a day?

    Gerry,
Though I merely asked the way of disposing as I said prior to the question, did they count the bones in the graves?
Besides, I have not said it was so hard to do it nor am I a pro-Nazi neither.
    “Ken asked,”
Is this a kind of mockery?

    “Ken asked,”
Is this a kind of mockery?

No, he was referring to your question, which he answered.

    Ken,

No, I was not mocking you, but you were questioning the numbers, weren’t you?

  11. comment number 11 by: Ken

    Gerry,
I seemed to have confused you a little without explanation of the background.
The question about the number was posed by a Japanese nationalistic critic.
As you know, Japan empire army was lacking ammunition so at last adopted the suicide attack.
Therefore, it is said they could not afford to kill 300,000 civilians.
    I understand the situation.
The critic doubted Jews number from same reason.
Disposal must have taken long time and huge space to burry or considerable cost to melt up.
Then, my query is whether Nazi had such spare time or money.

A minority of them are murderous radicals, most aren’t. The the former are largely unopposed, the latter are indifferent or sympathetic towards the former.

    RE: Ken

If you cracked a book, you’d know that ‘die Endloesung’ (The Final Solution) took place between 1942 and 1945, so you’ll have to adjust your math. As far as disposal of bodies goes, you should know that the Nazis themselves had documents in triplicate for every victim, including their ‘offense’, be they Jew, Gypsy, Homosexual, Black or whatever der Fuehrer found offense with.

The ovens took care of a great deal of the remains, once the Nazis figured out that they they were wasting bullets and time by lining their victims up, shooting them, and then having the next victim assure that the body rolled properly into a mass grave. These have been found, fyi.

You should also know that there are videos of bulldozers “transporting” bodies killed in gas chambers stacked higher than you probably are tall. Perhaps you could shoot from the hip to see if the tonnage in corpses fits in with your adjusted math.

Basically, it’s well documented and you can learn all about it. If you can’t be bothered to open a book, I suggest you visit Yad Vashem in Israel or closer to home, the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.

    Vielen Dank, Mattrosencrance.
I have been to Washington,D.C., which I did not feel so interesting.
I visited Smithsonian Museums, where the Enola Gay was the most impressive but did not notice Holocaust Museum.
If Israel becomes peaceful, I would go.
Anyway, it seems Nazi could afford to waste considerable volume of oil, etc to no use for war.
It is different from imperial japan which had to step in because oil was running out.
