Lee Cham (formerly Lee Han-u) wants to be a Hanara politician

March 11th, 2008 . by Gerry-Bevers

Lee Cham (이참), formerly known as Lee Han-u (이한우), was born in Germany, but became a naturalized Korean citizen in 1986. He speaks Korean quite well, and made regular appearances on Korean TV for many years; however, now he wants to be an elected representative in the “Hanara” party.

I think it would be interesting if he were elected, but I wonder if he really has a chance?

Martti Turunen managed to become a member of the Japanese Diet. He is a naturalized Japanese citizen of Finnish descent. I suppose this Lee Cham in Korea could win if he could rally enough support.

Interesting. I wonder what life is like for this foreigner made Korean national. If he does get elected, I’m expecting Garlic-face or any of the other insecurities to somehow attribute Korean xenophobia to his politcal success. lol.
