Unification Church

June 29th, 2006 . by Matt

Moon
This guy actually had himself crowned as God on Capitol Hill, Washinton DC. He is the Leader of the Unification Church, Sun Myung Moon

There are not many religions that I will openly come out against, but the Unification Church is definitely one I consider a spiritual fraud that is milking its deluded followers of their money.

I found this video on Youtube of a Unification Church preacher sent to Japan from Korea demanding ALL the cash and possessions of the people foolish enough to join the Church. The video is in Japanese, and I have translated the demands for cash below. The translation starts at 1:32 minutes into the video.

Unification Church preacher:
Now, at this time, on this promisory note, WRITE IT ALL!
Write your husbands name, your wifes name, your phone number, your address.
Then write the details of all you own.
This means things in your name, from cars, houses, buildings, rice paddies, fields, WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING YOU OWN!
DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Japanese followers
Hai! (yes)

I am sure that some apologist for the Unification Church is going to say that American preachers make appeals on TV for money as well, but this is different, much different. How wicked the leaders of this Church are, but it gets worse.

As I wrote in the caption above, Sun Myung Moon had a coronation declaring himself the savior and Messiah in the presence of US Senators and Congressmen.

Coronations are not everyday occurrences on Capitol Hill — the Capitol being the people’s house, an indelible symbol of the republic, etc.

So it’s odd that a man was crowned in the Dirksen Senate Office Building earlier this year in the presence of several lawmakers and that the event is only now drawing attention.

It appears that at least some lawmakers were drawn to the event unaware of what would happen and who would be there. Others who the organizers claim were present say they were not.

The Rev. Sun Myung Moon, former felon and current owner of The Washington Times, was the man in the spotlight, declaring himself humanity’s “savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent.”

The event, which took place March 23, was sponsored by the Washington Times Foundation and the International Interreligious Federation for World Peace (IIFWP), a Moon-led group. Present at different points during the event were Reps. Danny Davis (D-Ill.), Curt Weldon (R-Pa.), Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md.) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) and Sen. Mark Dayton (R-Minn.).

He also declared that Hitler and Stalin were now his followers.

One of Moon’s claims that evening was that “Hitler and Stalin have found strength in my teachings, mended their ways and been reborn as new persons.”

People that follow Moon and the Unification Church are going down a dark path to personal destruction, as well as spiritual decay for holding up a mere man, not even a good or moral man, and regarding him as a God. Interestingly, the bible tells of men like Sun Myung Moon, and identifies them as ‘servants of Satan’ –

(2 Corinthians 11:13-15) 13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

If following Sun Myung Moon is the way to get to heaven, then I am not interested in going. What a wicked man, and what a wicked organization. I feel sorry for the decieved church members, but with all the information available about the Unification Church, I cant help but think that “There’s a sucker born every minute”.

Koreans line up to be brainwashed. Just look at how JK can not even utter one thing that is his own thoughts. He is just saying the same things as all of the korean collective. That is OK with me, but the sad part is when they drag non koreans into their den of shit. Its very sad that good japanese people are brainwashed.

Sometimes other foreigners buy into the korean brainwashing too. Toadface is a prime example. I also read about a girl named Kushibo who preached just like a korean.

Is this ‘church’ at all active in Korea or were the people there smart enough to banish the fools to Saitama? (I live in Saitama where this little ‘pow-wow’ took place in the video… It sucks.) If they’re not active in Korea, it would be the first actual case of foreigners coming to Japan solely for the purpose of victimizing the Japanese people just like the Japanese Government has said they do for all these years.

On a side note, I’m surprised so many people were able to take a man seriously who can’t say つ but instead says チュ. I always tease a friend about that at school; and what’s worse for him is the other Korean students have worked hard at it and can say つ as well as ふ (he says something sounding like ユ) without problems.

I think KimchiPie is having a lapse in his ability to reason.

    *snip snip*

The coronation is old news. It was funny as hell when I watched it. First I was like what the hell, who produced this elaborate hoax? When I realized that it actually happened, I couldn’t stop laughing. The senators and such were there for money, no doubt.

Giving up all properties is standard procedure for enrolling into a cult/scam. If they’re desparate and dumb enough to join, I have not a single tear to shed for them.

You don’t have to the join the Unification Church to support it. You can support Moon just by eating sushi in the United States.

    Sushi and Rev. Moon

How Americans’ growing appetite for sushi is helping to support his controversial church

In a remarkable story that has gone largely untold, Moon and his followers created an enterprise that reaped millions of dollars by dominating one of America’s trendiest indulgences: sushi.

Today, one of those five Elston Avenue pioneers, Takeshi Yashiro, serves as a top executive of a sprawling conglomerate that supplies much of the raw fish Americans eat.

“I have the entire system worked out, starting with boat building,” Moon said in “The Way of Tuna,” a speech given in 1980. “After we build the boats, we catch the fish and process them for the market, and then have a distribution network. This is not just on the drawing board; I have already done it.”

Just a little something to think about the next time you order seafood in the United States.

The above article, Sushi and Rev. Moon, also mentions that Moon is expanding to Japan, Korea, England and most likely the rest of the world.

And it is again in an expansionist mood. True World recently opened up shop in England and established offices in Japan and Korea, setting its sights on the world’s biggest market for sushi.

While the Moonies apparently do operate in Korea, the good Rev. himself is banned from entering the country. I do believe he is also wanted on criminal charges related to his religious enterprises and activities in Korea although I can’t be sure of that.

In regards to the “Way of the Tuna” sermon, I read the entire thing (not from the link you listed above, however) and it is completely insane. There were times I was laughing my head off because what he said was so ridiculous but then when you think of how many people fall for it, it really is quite sad.

The Moonies are especially active in Japan, actually preying on vulnerable, wealthy widows who recently lost their husbands.

Furthermore, it’s more of a cult, not so much a religion in the strictest sense. And they’ve been around for a long, long time. I’m sure many people are aware of the U.S. newspaper run by them. Their international ties are widespread and apparently quite powerful.

In the past, I watched video of Unification Church and I talked with them.
But, while I talked with them, I felt many danger, and I withdrew.

For example, there is the words of Jesus Christ.

    “Eri, Eri, Lema Sabachthani?”
“My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

They asserted that it is mistake of Jesus Christ.
They say “It was begging for life”.
And they say “Our founder never does begging for life”.

The explanation more than that read “The Old Testament, Psalm 22” is not necessary for a religious Judaist.
In Judaism, when they praying, they read one paragraph of the Old Testament.
An action of Jesus Christ was prayer.
It was not begging for life.

It is general pattern of claim in a religious cult.
They give failure of Jesus Christ, and they want that their founder is made a high rank than Jesus Christ.
But, it was exposed that they do not know even that basic in Judaism.

Unification Church has not qualification to tell Judaism and Christianity.

Actually it is Japan and some European countries where Moon is not allowed. Fiji refused to let his plane land last year. He is becoming a favorite of South Korean politicians. Of course he and Kim Jong Il have been birthday present swapping buddies for years.

You may be thinking of his long time political operative, Bo Hi Pak. He is now in prison in SK for fraud.

Moon has spent billions of dollars moving America’s politics right and theocratic. If you look closely you will find he has as much to do with the political direction of the USA as any one individual though the masses are unaware of it.

He brags about using the Washington Times to “influence” America. It is the backbone of right wing politics in America.

I wouldn’t be too hard on the Japanese. Moon preys on them, he uses his cult followers to deceive them and manipulate them in elaborate cons. He preys on their lack of experience with religious con artists and their cultural belief in the afterlife.

here’s couple things for you to read.

thats not really nice… dont you have anything else better to do than do these kinda stuffs? =\ u seem to be looking at only the negative things of the movement, why not look at the good things that they are trying to do? =) just let them do what they believe, its their choice, and im very sure they are not “brainwashed” as you all say it, they made their choice, so let them do what they want, its their freedom to do what they believe is right. And they doing it even after so much criticism… so there must be something thats motivating them to follow this movement isnt it? And Im pretty sure its because they believe they are doing the right thing. It is not your choice to say its a bad thing.

Leave them alone, its not nice what all of you are saying.

Yui, most of these people that join the Unification Church do so without knowing all the facts about it. Do you think that people would really choose to marry complete strangers? Or choose to give up all their money and give it to a man that calls himself god?

It is not your choice to say its a bad thing.

Actually, it is my choice to say it is a bad thing. I can hold any opinion I like, and I am allowed to express it. That includes criticising other peoples choices and opinions.
